Parker Ann Turns 2!
Last weekend, we had a precious little birthday party for Miss Parker Ann! It turned out so sweet, and Parker just absolutely loved having all of her friends and family over! We decided to do this super cute girly farm animal theme. Our inspiration came from an etsy shop that had downloadable images that we could use for invitations, decor, etc. The etsy shop can be found here if you're interested. A link to all the decor that we used can be found here.
DIY Gold Floral Frames
One element that we loved and DIY'd, were the gold frames that we hung in front of the drapes! Here's how we made these for less than $15!
Purchase some pictures at Goodwill or your local thrift store-- it doesn't matter if they have pictures in them or not. Try to find a variety of styles and sizes.
Remove the photos and glass from the frames
Find a variety of flowers in whatever color you want. I used a variety of pink bouquets that I found at Dollar Tree and just cut off the stems. I also had a garland that we used for another party (Parker's baby shower actually!) and I cut it up and used the flowers and greenery from it as well.
Using a hot glue gun, glue the flowers onto the frames. I placed all of mine in the corners of the frames, but you don't have to do it that way. I also tried to think about how I was going to place the frames in order to decide which sides I should place the flowers on.
We then hung the frames using some clear fishing line that we tied to the curtain rod. If you are going to try this, make sure to use curtains with grommets, otherwise there won't be a place to tie the string onto the curtain rod. I have also used them before on my mantle for a bridal shower.
Balloon Arch
We got the balloon arch on amazon-- which came with all the balloons and what you needed to hang it with. We added the cow balloons for the theme! We used an air compressor to blow up the balloons (don't recommend trying to blow them up yourself-- there's WAY too many). Then we stuck the balloons in the little plastic piece that came in the set in the order that we liked them. We tried to alternate the different patterns and prints. Then, we used a couple of tacks to hang them on the outside of the door. Overall, it was actually really easy and affordable considering how cute the result was!
Food
We got most of the food from Costco & the cake was made by our friend, Bre!
Serveware
One thing we highly recommend when it comes to serveware is to find pieces that you can use as decor around your house. We just grabbed everything that we had and then decided the day of what was going to go in each container. Make sure to have things like crates, boxes, etc. that you can use to create varying heights on the table! Most of the pieces we can't link because they're old from TJ Maxx, Target, Hobby Lobby, World Market, or random stores.
